AB Power Engineering Ltd. is a leading power engineering company in Bangladesh. The company traces its origins back to 1969, when it was initially established as Bangladesh Technical and later became a PBD Class-1 enlisted entity in 1980 for REB Line construction. In 2007, it transitioned into AB Power Engineering as a partnership company. By 2014, it had expanded into a group of companies, incorporating three subsidiaries: AB Power Engineering Ltd., AB Garments Accessories Ltd., and AB Pharma.
The company was founded by Engineer M I Mazumder, an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers and former General Manager of REB/PBS. Currently, Mr. Anisuzzaman serves as the Managing Director, while Mr. Golam Mortoza, a retired Senior General Manager of REB/PBS, holds the position of Chairman of AB Group.
