Very poor service. No proper communication. They first shifted my flight to four hours earlier. Then cancelled that too, because they overbooked that flight now. I had to get a refund and buy from another airline in the last minute at a much higher price. AirAstra takes no responsibility for the loss and problems they cause to the customers due to their frequent cancellations. They have decent staff and effort but the strategy of taking booking for flights without intending to fly them, all the time, is very much a malpractice.

I traveled to Cox's Bazar and returned to Dhaka with Air Astra. Their service was good. Since it was a domestic flight, the trip was 50 minutes to an hour. The trip fuel (snacks)was disappointing.

New Airlines in Bangladesh now serves domestic passengers. Fares is comparatively cheap with local airlines.
Air Astra, also known as Astra Airways Limited, was officially established in Bangladesh under the jurisdiction of the Registrar of Joint-Stock Companies in July 2021. Their trade license number is TRAD/DNCC/006085/2022.
The primary objective of Air Astra is to function as a scheduled airline, catering to both passengers and cargo. Their vision is to significantly enhance connectivity for the people of Bangladesh within the country and across the globe.
To ensure the utmost safety and punctuality, Air Astra has chosen to employ a fleet of four ATR72-600 aircraft in 2022. These aircraft are considered to be the most advanced, efficient, and environmentally friendly turboprop planes currently in production. However, Air Astra's plans don't end there. By 2023, they aim to expand their ATR72-600 fleet to a total of ten aircraft. Furthermore, starting in 2024, the airline intends to venture into international operations, targeting markets that exhibit high potential for yield and demand.
What sets Air Astra apart is not only being granted the first Air Operator Certificate (AOC) for passenger service in nearly nine years in Bangladesh but also achieving the first-ever approval as a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) even before obtaining the AOC. Additionally, they obtained the initial Ground Handling Service Provider (GHSP) license concurrently with the AOC issuance.
At Air Astra, safety, reliability, and affordability take precedence at all times. The airline is committed to delivering these core values consistently, each and every day, through their diligent efforts.
