He also played a vital role as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IDLC Securities Limited, spearheading the establishment of the company. Beginning his career at Premium Securities Limited, Mr. Islam subsequently transitioned to renowned multinational investment bank Peregrine Capital Ltd, followed by Union Capital Limited (UCL).

With close to two decades of expertise in the Bangladesh capital market, Mr. Islam possesses the ability to support, encourage, and motivate colleagues and investors both locally and internationally. His exceptional track record includes generating new business opportunities and effectively managing high-profile client relationships. He has actively participated in numerous seminars and training programs focusing on the operations and development of the capital market, at both national and international levels. Being a native Bangladeshi professional with a record of success, he possesses a deep understanding of the dynamics and nuances of the financial market in Bangladesh, setting him apart from others in the field.
