This is what happens when companies like this don't maintain safety protocol. The fire broke out at about 11:30pm on Thursday June 1st 2023 and was brought under control at about 2:00am on Friday, said Fire Service officials, adding that 13 freighting units joined the rescue effort and doused the blaze. Twenty-three people were evacuated with difficulty from the building during the fire, said Fire Service director for operations. One died inside and the body of the youth was recovered from the 19th floor of the building, said the officer. The victim was only 30, a mechanical engineer at Data Soft, an IT-based firm, said police.
