Global Heavy Chemicals Ltd. (GHCL), which is a part of the OPSONIN GROUP, was established on September 19, 2000. As the new millennium began, GHCL embarked on its journey as the first privately-owned Chlor-Alkali Industry in Bangladesh. With great aspirations and hopes for the future, GHCL aims to contribute to the country's industrial development by creating new opportunities.
Under the visionary leadership of our late Founder Chairman, Abdul Khaleque Khan, GHCL has already established several innovative and locally produced industrial units, primarily in the pharmaceutical and related sectors. These initiatives align with our commitment to foster industrial growth and meet the nation's needs. GHCL manufactures a range of domestically produced industrial chemicals, including Caustic Soda, Hydrochloric Acid, Bleaching Powder, Chlorine, Sodium Hypochlorite, and Chlorinated Paraffin Wax (CPW). Additionally, GHCL regularly exports Chlorine to India.
In May 2021, GHCL introduced a series of new toiletry brands specifically designed for retail purposes.
