IFIC Bank (International Finance Investment and Commerce Bank PLC) details include its role as a major Bangladeshi commercial bank, its network of over 1,400 branches/sub-branches, digital services (IFIC Aamar Bank App, iBanking), treasury/forex services, and focus on women's empowerment (IFIC Shomriddhi). Key contacts and specific branch info (like addresses, phone numbers, and routing numbers) are on their official website's branch/contact pages, while details on financial standing and shareholding are in their Investor Relations section.

It serves as the lucrative headquarters of one of Bangladesh's oldest private bank, situated in the historic commercial district of Dhaka, adjacent to the Baitul Mokarram National Mosque Complex. Despite its prestigious location, it has become outdated as a banking destination.

Very disappointing experience with IFIC Bank. The staff at the Ashulia Highway (Jamgora) Branch were extremely rude and unprofessional. The manager was unhelpful and showed no interest in assisting customers very poor service overall.

About IFIC Bank PLC

IFIC Bank PLC, a banking institution with limited liability, was incorporated in the People's Republic of Bangladesh. It came into existence in 1976 under the initiative of the Government, forming a partnership between the Government of Bangladesh and private sector sponsors. The primary purpose was to operate as a finance company within the country and establish joint venture banks and financial institutions abroad.

In 1983, the private sector banking industry was authorized by the Government, leading to IFIC's transformation into a fully-fledged commercial bank. Currently, the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh owns 32.75% of the bank's share capital. The sponsors and directors, who possess extensive expertise in the realm of trade and commerce, hold 4.11% of the share capital. The remaining portion is owned by both local and foreign institutions, as well as general shareholders.

To ensure representation, the Government appoints three nominated directors to the bank's board. Consequently, the sponsors and directors collectively hold 36.86% of the total outstanding share capital of the bank.
