Muslim Aid (MA) is a faith-based international relief and development organization dedicated to addressing poverty and alleviating human suffering worldwide, guided by Islamic principles. Established in November 1985 in response to the famine in Africa, Muslim Aid began its mission by providing emergency aid to those impacted by famine and conflict. For over three decades, the organization has worked tirelessly to save and enhance the lives of millions across some of the world’s poorest nations, including Bangladesh. The Muslim Aid-UK Bangladesh Country Office (MABCO) commenced operations in 1991 following a catastrophic cyclone that devastated the coastal regions of Bangladesh. Since then, MABCO has continued its efforts to support vulnerable communities, regardless of their gender, religion, ethnicity, caste, or creed.
