In response to the growing need for advanced education, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh enacted the Private Universities Act in 1992, subsequently updated by the Private University Act of 2010. Following the enactment of the 1992 Act, Bangladesh experienced a surge in the establishment of private universities, all pledging to deliver higher education of international caliber to students.
