About Seven Rings Cement

Shun Shing Group, founded in 1988 in Hong Kong, has been actively engaged in international import and export trading. Their business encompasses various commodities such as Cement, Clinker, Gypsum, Limestone, Rock Phosphate, and Iron ore. To ensure timely delivery to their overseas customers, they have established a robust division dedicated to operating ocean-going dry cargo ships for their own cargo transportation.

The group's initial industrial investment was made in Bangladesh to support their cement core business. In 1999, they established Seven Circle Bangladesh Ltd., a company dedicated to producing and marketing cement under the brand name SEVEN RINGS CEMENT. The company has earned its reputation as a leading cement brand manufacturer in the country due to its consistent quality, durability, modern innovation, technology, and visionary management.

The first factory of Seven Rings Cement was set up in Kaligong, Gazipur, Dhaka, adjacent to the Shitalakha River. It is conveniently located only 38 kilometers away from Dhaka city and currently has a production capacity of 1.9 million metric tons per annum. This factory caters to the demand of Greater Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Cumilla.

In 2014, the second factory of Seven Rings Cement was established in Labanchara, KDA Industrial Area, Khulna, situated on the bank of the Rupsha River. It is merely 7 kilometers away from Khulna City Center and has a production capacity of 1.5 million metric tons per annum. This factory serves the demand in the southwest zone and the northern districts of the country.

Due to the increasing consumer preference for Seven Rings Cement, the company has embarked on a significant expansion project with the implementation of the latest VRM (Vertical Roller Mill) technology. Among this expansion, the installation of a 3.5 million metric tons VRM Plant at Kaligonj, Gazipur has already been completed. Additionally, a greenfield VRM project has been established in Shikolbha, Chattogram, near the mouth of the Shikolbha River, extending towards the Karnafuly River. This new project, operating under the company name Shun Shing Cement Industries Limited, has a capacity of 1.5 million metric tons per annum and caters to the demand of Greater Chattogram and Noakhali.

The collective production capacities of all the factories now amount to 8.4 million metric tons per annum, making Seven Rings Cement one of the largest cement manufacturing plants in the country. These factories maintain top-quality products that meet world-class standards while offering a diverse range of products.

To support the cement factories' forward and backward linkages, the group has established a WPP Bag Manufacturing plant, Power Generation Plant, Road Transportation Division, and Water Transport Division. Moreover, the group has constructed Inland Coastal Vessel Building facilities with a Slipway Dockyard for vessel maintenance.

Since 2008, Seven Rings Cement has expanded its business beyond Bangladesh by exporting to India.

In addition to Bangladesh, the Shun Shing Group has established a new company called GreenCem LLC Dubai. This company aims to set up a 1 million metric tons per annum VRM plant in Jabel Ali Industrial Area, Dubai, UAE. Its primary focus will be the production of Grinded Slag and Cement in Bag/Bulk for the UAE market, as well as export to neighboring countries.
