There was not crowd at all as we did expect, turns out there were few people around, so its much more comfortable and relaxing if you love quiet place like me. Restaurant space is small but neat and well decorated. We ordered buffet chinese hotpot, where they will ask you to choose two types of broth ( we choosed spicy and non spicy) among three. After serve broth on to electric induction, all raw ingredients needs to put in and wait until cook, then eat with sauce, i prefer peanut sauce since first time i tried in China. There was many ingredients, also complimentary they served fried rice, though hot pot was already lot for us, we couldn’t eat or willing to eat fried rice unnecessary filled our tummy, as we were there only to enjoy hotpot. We sat there and enjoyed our meal for almost 3 hours and never get bored with the food… again want to be there. Note: hotpot is best in winter and with good company ( group of people). I bet you gonna love it.

One of the very few hotpot spots in Dhaka. Our experience was upto our expectations. The decor of the place is nice, not overdone and kept tastefully simple. Service was also good enough. We had the buffet hotpot which included the 15 or so items. They advertised a lot more options in the menu such as tofu, blackfish, pomfret, batata noodle etc but those where not available when we visited. We had items such as cuttle fish, crabs, shrimp, dumplings, sliced beef, squid, chinese jerry mushroom, crab sticks etc along with fried rice. We used the clear and spicy soup bases. Everything topnotch and quality was on par with other hotpot joints. The items were fresh and tasted very good. We loved the interactive experience of dining. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Hotpot season!🌧 in this rainy weather this is a major craving for me. Tried SKAI this time. Hotpot was 1800/- per person. It had around 12 kinds of protein , glass noodles, rice noodles, whole lotta veggies, dumplings etc. The amount was generous and variation was very good. But for some reason the broth wasn’t up to the mark. But the punchy sauce saved it. Also afterwards I felt super bloated. Ps: tried some other items from the menu, which were amazing! Details will be up soon.

Always a pleasure visiting SKAI to enjoy a hot pot. It’s a pity they don’t always seem to be able to provide quail eggs and a few other ingredients as compared to its competitor. Nevertheless, a good quality restaurant and well presented environment on the 5th floor at Gulshan-2.
Discover SKAI, the ultimate "Hot Pot" haven, nestled in the vibrant tristate area of Dhaka city. In an impressively short span of time, SKAI has managed to win the hearts of a devoted clientele, a feat accomplished by only a select few establishments.
The brilliant minds behind SKAI are Mariha Khalid and Huma Khair, visionaries who embarked on a journey to introduce the South Korean dining experience to the flourishing bistro scene of Dhaka. Yet, they humbly acknowledge that this success wouldn't have been possible without the invaluable contributions of Mariha's husband, Md Wasim Rahman, a seasoned restaurateur in his own right, whose guidance, support, and advice proved to be instrumental.
When queried about the readiness of Dhaka's connoisseurs for the Hot Pot experience, Huma expressed delightful surprise, stating, "Our patrons astounded us with their willingness to step out of their comfort zones and embrace novel culinary adventures!" She went on to highlight that the city's socio-economic growth has cultivated a broader cultural awareness among patrons of all ages, making them more open to exploring diverse cuisines.
Even the ex-pat community in Dhaka has been captivated by SKAI, lured by the authenticity exuding from each delectable dish. Mariha happily shares a heartwarming anecdote, "One of our cherished Chinese customers frequents us for lunch almost daily. He confided that our food evokes memories of home, and that truly touches us. With such overwhelmingly positive responses, we are excitedly planning to expand the restaurant, envisioning special private rooms for our esteemed patrons. Our aspirations for SKAI are boundless, and we are committed to bringing even greater experiences to our cherished guests."
