The service is acceptable. As its common scene in all government offices. Some of the staffs were disinterested in answering queries. I can't blame them as most govt offices have employees looking to work less and go home. The only positive is the facility of paying government pay orders.

Following the country's independence, Sonali Bank emerged as the foremost and largest Nationalized Commercial Bank. This was made possible through the proclamation of the Banks' Nationalization Order 1972 (Presidential Order-26), which led to the liquidation of the National Bank of Pakistan, Premier Bank, and Bank of Bhwalpur. As a fully state-owned institution, Sonali Bank has actively fulfilled its nation-building responsibilities by undertaking various socio-economic schemes entrusted by the government. Additionally, it has autonomously engaged in money market activities, contributing to the growth and development of all sectors of the economy.
On November 15, 2007, Sonali Bank underwent a transformation, becoming a Public Limited Company with the government retaining 100% ownership. It started operating under the name Sonali Bank Limited, assuming all assets, liabilities, and business operations of Sonali Bank. This corporatization granted the bank's management the necessary autonomy to enhance its competitiveness and operate its business more effectively.
Sonali Bank Limited operates under the guidance of a Board of Directors comprising eleven members. The bank is led by a well-regarded banker and esteemed professional, serving as the CEO and Managing Director. Its corporate headquarters is situated in Motijheel, Dhaka, which is the primary commercial hub of the capital city, Bangladesh.
