Too much traffic each day each hour. Try to avoid that road in front of that building. Other than that this building is owned by Janakantha newspaper which was once a well circulated newspaper of Bangladesh.

Daily Janakantha: Unveiling the Spirit of Bengal Every Day

Dhaka, Bangladesh – In the heart of our vibrant nation, Daily Janakantha, the beacon of Bengali journalism, illuminates the minds of readers with its insightful narratives. As we proudly present the news, we are guided by the visionary stewardship of Janakantha Shilpa Paribar (GJSP), our esteemed custodian.

Since its inception on that momentous day of 21st February 1993, Daily Janakantha has stood as a testament to journalistic excellence, capturing the essence of our ever-evolving society. Our journey commenced under the brilliant editorial leadership of the late Mohammad Atikullah Khan Masud, whose wisdom and acumen shaped the early years of our publication. His memory lives on as we carry forward his legacy, embracing the responsibility of delivering truth and inspiration to our cherished readership.

In a profound demonstration of resilience, Daily Janakantha weathered a challenging episode in 1999. Bangladesh's brave army personnel faced a grave situation when they encountered a landmine discreetly left at our very doorstep by suspected Islamist militants. Undeterred, they fearlessly defused the threat, a testament to their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the principles of free press and democratic values. This incident reaffirmed our unwavering commitment to providing unbiased and unyielding journalism, undaunted by any obstacle.

Daily Janakantha, true to its spirit, embraces a Secular to Liberal political leaning, representing the diverse fabric of our society. We celebrate the spectrum of perspectives and opinions, ensuring that our readers are presented with a panoramic view of the social, political, and cultural landscape. In recognition of the evolving media landscape, we offer our readers the choice between our traditional print edition, gracing the hands of countless enthusiasts, and our dynamic online platform, catering to the needs of the digital era.

In essence, Daily Janakantha stands as a revered testament to the power of words, a constant companion to the readers who seek knowledge and enlightenment. Each day, we embark on a new journey, unraveling the tapestry of Bengal, and inviting our readers to join us on this captivating odyssey. Together, we shall continue to champion the values of truth, integrity, and journalistic excellence, uplifting the spirit of our beloved Bangladesh.
