Date of visit: 2024 Durga Puja POSITIVES: The natural beauty of the place is absolutely MAJESTIC. Greenery and pure nature. Rooms by the bank of Chitra river, you will see beautiful birds, small boats in which people catching small fish and of course the river itself. The place is quiet (mostly) and has a feeling of calmness. Food tastes soooo good. No matter what you eat, the taste is bound to stay with you for a long time. Not all staff but the manager lady is humble and nice to the guest. NEGATIVES: Electricity is an issue. On our first day of visit, we experienced loadshedding of almost 8+ hours and the worst part is the resort failed to provide generator support for the most part, not even the fans. Staff behavior is not professional. The manager lady single handedly look over the whole place, and as a result of this most of the staff stay on phones and you will have to walk miles to find them. Cleanliness is an issue. The sheets are often not washed properly. The mattress for the extra person remains out side in the bush, we was two cockroaches coming out of the mattress (since it was torn) and remained on the bed and did not use the mattress at all. Pricing of both food and rooms could be slightly reasonable. For example, one chicken khichuri costs 320-350 (I don't remember the accurate amount) which is very expensive for most of the guest. Although the food was incredibly tasty. Then the room prices are also slightly on the expensive side. We stayed in two different type of rooms for two nights. (4500/night and 6500/night) which I felt could be 5% cheaper at least. Privacy is an issue as well. Most of the rooms have restricted place/areas for the guests who stay over night but their day long or local visitors always come and invade the restricted places, make a a lot of noise and the authority does absolutely nothing to prevent this. Lastly the noise problem. We stayed during the PUJA holidays and this was a mistake. The local people at the other side of the resort/Chitra river play LOUD music the whole night and you can not sleep at all. On the second night my mother fell sick and we had to call 999 to make a complaint but they did not take any action since it was a religious festival.
