Awareness for upcoming students who are take admission in CSE and BBA. First of all CSE and BBA are both professional honours. Professional honours has no demands in the e latest job market. Who are think for a government job I reply again with professional honours it is very hard to allow in government jobs. Again it's takes 6-7 years that's effected you mentally depressed. 6-7 year make you mentally seek. With this certification you can not go long for job market so you also need a master degree thats also takes1-2 years after 8-9 years you called adu Vai. So it's my observation from past CSE batches they are mentally broken.............. Your academy slow but the private university are not slow they make a lot of educated people so you loss at first for enter the job markets and you loss your value... Dhaka City College, a prominent educational institution nestled at the heart of the capital, Dhanmondi Road No. 2. Our college's rich history dates back to its inception in 1957 as the Dhaka City Night College, which later evolved into today's prestigious Dhaka City College.
Over the past half-century, our journey has been one of growth and transformation. Originally operating from the Dhaka College campus in the 1960s, we eventually established our current location in the 1970s.
In 1977, a new era commenced with the appointment of the esteemed Principal Professor Md. Hafiz Uddin. Under his visionary leadership, Dhaka City College flourished, leaving a lasting legacy on its development. Sadly, we lost the great educationist Professor Md. Hafiz Uddin on December 29, 2009. Fondly known as the "shaper of modern Dhaka City College," his contributions remain a guiding force in our pursuit of excellence.
Thanks to the invaluable support and inspiration of former Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Khane Alam Khan, the college made significant strides. In 1989, two large buildings were constructed, and another building followed suit. As we continued to progress, we took a revolutionary step in 1991 by introducing the morning section for female students while discontinuing the evening section. Additionally, the introduction of non-political student councils in 1992 transformed our co-curricular activities positively.
Our commitment to academic excellence is evident through the introduction of semester courses and examination systems, which have been in effect since 1980. As a result, our students have consistently excelled, regularly earning spots in the merit lists of various board and university level examinations. Notably, our business education and science departments have produced the highest number of GPA 5 achievers in the recently implemented grading system board exams.
In the pursuit of expanding higher education, we have introduced new courses at both the undergraduate and higher secondary levels. From Management, Accounting, and Marketing to B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering, B.B.A, and BBS, we have broadened our offerings to meet the needs of our students. Notably, we began teaching BSS (Hons) Economics in the academic year 2012-13, while Regular MBA courses were introduced in 2004.
Our college's success is attributed to the efforts of our dedicated faculty, the efficient management and supervision of the esteemed members of the Governing Body, and the guidance of renowned educational figures like Professor Dr. Syed Modachher Ali. The application of well-planned progressive education methods, in line with the guidelines of esteemed boards and national universities, has created a transparent and conducive learning environment.
