Dhaka City College also known as DCC, is one of the oldest private college in the country of Bangladesh. It is located at Qudrat-i-Khuda road, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. It offers Honors and Masters degree programs as well as higher secondary education. The college is affiliated with the National University of Bangladesh. Founded: 1957 Academic affiliation: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka Former names: Dhaka Night College The passing rate is 99.84% and A+ rate is 76.31%. 5 students have failed in HSC 2021 and the failure rate is 0.16%. Also was a student there. So clearly I can say their education system and facilities are the best you can get from a college.. Yet, every Institute has its own issues!

This College is one of the oldest colleges in Dhaka. It is located at Dhanmondi. Dhaka City College is on of the renown College in Dhaka city. It situated in a very convenient location in Dhanmondi area, just in front of Science Lab. Intermediate and honers education programme under national university is conducted here. Its provide quality education. College classrooms are fully air-conditioned. Campus is not so large and very confined.

One of the most well known colleges in Bangladesh. At one time Bangladeshi colleges offered only completion of Higher Secondary education (similar to high school in the West), but now various Bachelor's degrees are available at Dhaka City College
Dhaka City College, a prominent educational institution nestled at the heart of the capital, Dhanmondi Road No. 2. Our college's rich history dates back to its inception in 1957 as the Dhaka City Night College, which later evolved into today's prestigious Dhaka City College.
Over the past half-century, our journey has been one of growth and transformation. Originally operating from the Dhaka College campus in the 1960s, we eventually established our current location in the 1970s.
In 1977, a new era commenced with the appointment of the esteemed Principal Professor Md. Hafiz Uddin. Under his visionary leadership, Dhaka City College flourished, leaving a lasting legacy on its development. Sadly, we lost the great educationist Professor Md. Hafiz Uddin on December 29, 2009. Fondly known as the "shaper of modern Dhaka City College," his contributions remain a guiding force in our pursuit of excellence.
Thanks to the invaluable support and inspiration of former Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Khane Alam Khan, the college made significant strides. In 1989, two large buildings were constructed, and another building followed suit. As we continued to progress, we took a revolutionary step in 1991 by introducing the morning section for female students while discontinuing the evening section. Additionally, the introduction of non-political student councils in 1992 transformed our co-curricular activities positively.
Our commitment to academic excellence is evident through the introduction of semester courses and examination systems, which have been in effect since 1980. As a result, our students have consistently excelled, regularly earning spots in the merit lists of various board and university level examinations. Notably, our business education and science departments have produced the highest number of GPA 5 achievers in the recently implemented grading system board exams.
In the pursuit of expanding higher education, we have introduced new courses at both the undergraduate and higher secondary levels. From Management, Accounting, and Marketing to B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering, B.B.A, and BBS, we have broadened our offerings to meet the needs of our students. Notably, we began teaching BSS (Hons) Economics in the academic year 2012-13, while Regular MBA courses were introduced in 2004.
Our college's success is attributed to the efforts of our dedicated faculty, the efficient management and supervision of the esteemed members of the Governing Body, and the guidance of renowned educational figures like Professor Dr. Syed Modachher Ali. The application of well-planned progressive education methods, in line with the guidelines of esteemed boards and national universities, has created a transparent and conducive learning environment.
We firmly believe that Dhaka City College plays a crucial role in national progress by nurturing self-confidence and a spirit of humanism among our students. Our commitment to quality education and the development of skilled human resources remains unwavering as we continue to shape future leaders for our society.
