Very disappointing stay. The room was dirty, the bedsheets were not clean, and overall conditions were so bad. To make matters worse, the charging ports in the room were not working, which was very inconvenient. Service were also poor, the response was very slow. Definitely not worth the money.

★★★★★ 3.8 – “Budget stay with a basic rooftop terrace, but cleanliness needs work” “Reasonable value and handy location, yet cleanliness and amenities fall short.” 👍 What I liked: Great location: Located on Main Road Jhawtala, it’s just a short walk (~5 min) from the bus terminal and about 10 minutes by rickshaw to Laboni Beach—ideal for quick beach access . Rooftop terrace & view: Offers a rooftop area overlooking the beach—a nice bonus for a modest hotel . Good value: Rates are low ($12–14/night) and include basics like TV, toiletries, fan/AC claims, and free parking . --- 👎 What to know: Cleanliness issues: Multiple guests cite "extremely dirty rooms" and "disgusting" bathrooms; also complaints of roaches and mosquitos . Amenities not as advertised: AC often missing (just ceiling fan), Western toilets rare, limited Wi‑Fi only in lobby, and unreliable hot water . Staff service mixed: Some report rude or unhelpful service, while a few guests praised attentive staff . 💡 Quick Pros & Cons ✅ Pros⚠️ ConsExcellent location, near beach & transportRooms and bathrooms reportedly dirtyBudget-friendly rates (~$12–14/night)AC rarely works, only ceiling fansRooftop terrace with beach glimpseWi‑Fi only in lobbyFree toiletries, TV, parkingMosquitoes, roaches, cleanliness issues24‑hr front desk & laundryMixed service quality 🏁 Final Verdict If you're looking for a no-frills, budget stay near Cox’s Bazar beach and don’t mind minimal amenities and occasional cleanliness issues, Hotel Sea Queen is a passable choice. The rooftop is a nice touch considering the price. However, if you expect cleaner rooms, reliable AC, and full amenities, it’s better to step up to a mid-range hotel—it'll likely significantly improve your stay. Tips if you plan to stay: Confirm room type and amenities (AC, western toilet, Wi‑Fi) before booking. Inspect the room on arrival, ask for another if needed. Bring mosquito repellent and ensure cleanliness. — 📍 Address: Main Road, Jhawtala, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh 💵 Nightly rate: ~$12–14 (budget) 🧳 Ideal for: Travellers seeking a cheap, convenient base close to the beach. 🚫 Not recommended for: Visitors seeking comfort, clean rooms, and full amenities.

Built a few decades back. Sizeable but Quite Smelly rooms. Lift is adequately slow. With same expense, Hotel Renaissance is a much better option.

They didn’t receive phone calls. Even though if you call hundreds of times they don’t respond.

Room is cheaper, clean, but washroom is bad, water tap always leaks. Our electricity went out for a short time due to their bad wiring, then electrician came real quick and fixed it.
