About Ibn Sina Nursing Institute

Inspired by the profound principle that 'Serving humanity is a noble service to the Divine,' the inception of IBN SINA TRUST took place on the 30th of June, 1980. This monumental step was orchestrated by a group of visionary trustees, renowned for their unwavering commitment. Though the organization embarked on its journey with humble beginnings, its aspirations were nothing short of expansive, fueled by an intrinsic missionary zeal that resided deep within each individual's heart.

Embracing the belief that the most monumental journeys commence with a single step, we can now, in retrospect, express our gratitude for the miraculous strides that this institution has achieved in revolutionizing the healthcare landscape of Bangladesh. Through the course of the past three decades, a myriad of hospitals, cutting-edge laboratories, state-of-the-art consultation centers, a burgeoning pharmaceutical industry, a distinguished Medical College, and a revered Nursing Institute have been erected under its aegis. It's noteworthy that every iota of profit generated through these endeavors is channeled towards the altruistic goal of serving humanity. The impact of this benevolent approach has rippled across the lives of countless individuals, as its reach extends far and wide.

The organization's influence refuses to be confined to the elite enclaves of Dhaka, shattering socio-economic barriers and transcending divisions of wealth, caste, creed, religion, and ethnicity. A testament to this is the extension of its services to the farthest corners of Bangladesh, including the remote precincts of Longdu upazilla in the Rangamati hill district. Here, among the verdant landscapes, a marginalized tribal population reaps the benefits of modern healthcare, a privilege made possible through the tireless efforts of IBN SINA TRUST.

The nomenclature of the trust pays homage to the illustrious healer and scholar, 'Abu Ali Hussain Ibn Sina,' renowned as 'Avicenna' or 'Ibn Sina.' His seminal work, 'Al-Qanun fit-Tibb,' remained the cornerstone of medical knowledge for nearly eight centuries, underscoring his enduring legacy.

In light of their extensive involvement in establishing diverse healthcare institutions, the board of trustees recognized a pressing need to institute a Nursing Institute, a crucible for nurturing compassionate nurses imbued with a stellar blend of professional excellence and ethical values. Thus, Ibn Sina Nursing Institute embarked on its maiden voyage on the 1st of July, 2010, with an inaugural cohort of 50 aspiring students. Presently, eight successive batches from Ibn Sina Nursing Institute grace various esteemed governmental and non-governmental hospitals with their dedicated service, embodying the essence of quality healthcare with a humane touch.
