Jagorani Chakra Foundation (JCF) building in Jessore is perhaps the best building for office space. It is also highly secured. Many of the donor funded projects prefer to have their office in this building. I was there on February 20 and 21 for work at one of our project offices. We're more than 12 persons and used the office space multiple occasions in three days for break and refreshment.

Jagorani chakro is the best place
Towards the close of 1975, a group of enthusiastic young individuals hailing from Jessore came together to establish the Jagorani Chakra Foundation (JCF). Their primary aim was to uplift the living conditions of impoverished communities. As they delved deeper into the issues at hand, it became apparent that the root causes were more entrenched in the social and political realms rather than purely economic.
JCF embarked on its mission with an adult literacy program, an endeavor that set it apart from the conventional approaches of its time. It crafted a distinctive adult literacy curriculum, showcasing their innovative spirit.
In 1976, JCF executed its inaugural development initiative by launching non-formal education centers catering to the needs of underprivileged children. By 1977, they had secured registration from the Directorate of Social Welfare, marking an official recognition of their commitment to societal betterment.
Throughout their journey, JCF has remained steadfast in their belief that education stands as the cornerstone of all developmental efforts. It continues to be their top priority when considering new interventions.
In 1981, a remarkable chapter unfolded in JCF's history as they initiated their work with the marginalized sweeper community, previously regarded as untouchable. The remarkable success of this endeavor fueled JCF's determination to adopt a community development approach. Subsequently, JCF went on to successfully implement numerous community development projects. The fruits of these initiatives are evident today, as the beneficiaries have taken the reins, managing their own grassroots institutions.
