I started to learn Japanese language here in 2012. I passed JLPT N5 from here. Now (2019) I am studying here again for N4. It has Japanese teacher. It has very good collaboration with the Japanese embassy in Dhaka. So it organizes some special events round the year which which other cannot do. Really a good place to learn Japanese language and culture.

The Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB) represents a distinguished group of individuals who have earned their Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degrees from esteemed Japanese universities. Established in 2000, JUAAB commemorated the 30th anniversary of Japan's diplomatic recognition of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The association's core objective has always been to foster strong bonds of friendship and understanding between the people of Bangladesh and Japan, facilitating the exchange of academic knowledge, socio-cultural appreciation, and honoring our shared heritage.
Over the course of two decades, JUAAB has accomplished remarkable feats, not only in strengthening the ties between Japan and Bangladesh but also in mobilizing resources for its self-sustenance. From its humble beginnings with just a few members, the association has now grown to a robust community of 700 members. Today, JUAAB stands at the threshold of a new era, where it has expanded its influence in various domains, utilizing the collective strength and expertise of its dedicated team while making the most of available resources.
A key aspect of JUAAB's success has been its unwavering commitment to democratic principles and norms, which have galvanized unity and strength, propelling its achievements in an exceptional manner. One significant milestone for JUAAB is the acquisition of its own permanent space, spanning approximately 4,000 square feet, within a modern building at Farmgate. This accomplishment fills the members with pride and serves as a testament to their progress.
Looking to the future, JUAAB envisions transforming its space into a state-of-the-art "Japan Cultural Centre," equipped with modern facilities. This dream is on hold momentarily due to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, JUAAB remains resolute in overcoming these obstacles and realizing this vision in the near future.
Throughout its 21-year journey, JUAAB has celebrated numerous achievements. Some of these notable accomplishments include:
In conclusion, JUAAB's remarkable growth and accomplishments exemplify its dedication to strengthening the bonds between Bangladesh and Japan. As it continues to evolve and overcome challenges, the association remains a beacon of unity and progress, contributing to academic and cultural exchange between the two nations.
