Nilgiri in Bandarban is truly one of the most beautiful places in Bangladesh. The floating clouds over the hills, cool breeze, and peaceful environment give a different kind of serenity. The sunrise and sunset views were absolutely breathtaking. A perfect place to spend quality time with family or friends. Once you visit, you’ll definitely want to come back again! 💙⛰️

Best view but poor service 1. No power backup, there is was electricity cut frequently but they have no power backup, not even even a light in room with power backup 2. Paying 9000 taka for a room but no ac. No complementary tea or coffee item in room . Only one water bottle provided 3. You can not ask for a room service to provide food or tea in room. They don’t provide any kind of room services . Restaurant food quality is good , view is nice but service is pathetic

Nilgiri Hill Resort is operated by the Bangladesh Army, ensuring disciplined management and a high level of security. Generally, visitors to Nilgiri fall into two groups. One group travels from Bandarban town by Chander Gari, jeep, CNG, or bus, visits the hill during the day, and returns to the town before evening. The other group consists of travelers who choose to stay overnight at Nilgiri and become guests of Nilgiri Hill Resort, staying in pre-booked cottages or rooms located at the hilltop. For those planning to stay, it is wise to confirm room or cottage bookings at least fifteen days in advance by contacting the resort through its official website or Facebook page and paying 50% of the total cost as an advance—especially during peak seasons, public holidays, and festivals. Room rates for two persons generally range from BDT 6,000 to BDT 10,000. Budget-friendly shared accommodation is available within BDT 3,000, and an extra bed can be added to a double room for BDT 1,500. The resort has a specially built hilltop restaurant to cater to guests’ dining needs. As the resort is managed by the Bangladesh Army, visitors can feel assured about safety and security. Situated at an elevation of around 2,500 feet above sea level, Nilgiri offers breathtaking night views of a clear, star-filled sky. The best time to enjoy this experience is during autumn and late autumn, while the monsoon season brings a different kind of natural beauty to the hills. The resort facilities are basic but well maintained, and the viewing platforms provide excellent opportunities for photography, especially during early morning and late afternoon. For travelers wishing to drift through morning clouds or lose themselves under a sparkling night sky, staying at least one night at Nilgiri Hill Resort is highly recommended when visiting Bandarban. Road access is generally good, though the hilly route requires careful driving.

First time traveled Niligiri, Back in 2017 it was a nice place with natural vibes. However, now it has changed. Too many cottages and structures killed the natural vibe. Now its too commercial. They should increase the food quality. There is no nearby hotels or restaurant so you are forced to eat at the spot. Parking is available.

A great place to enjoy the mountain and nature. Here, you can live in the clouds. The rooms are pretty old-fashioned but quite big. The best time to visit is the monsoon season when you will have clouds all the time. The food is great, especially the BBQ at dinner.
