Went to Star Kabab, opposite Abahoni Club in Dhanmondi, this is their smallest branch. It's only for kebabs (if you want rice and all that, head to the other Star Kabab on Dhanmondi Road 2). Tried their beef seekh kebab, chicken jhal fry, paratha, and naan. Their beef seekh kebab comes in quarter, half, and full portions—I went for the quarter (which was a lot already). Well, their beef seekh kebab is actually nice; I liked it. Could have been more flavorful, but I found it decent. Their naan was just average, like real average—they really could improve it. The jhal fry was good and spicy. Their paratha is a full fried one, more like a big daal puri but without the daal. Service was good, decent. Atmosphere was below average—outside and indoor seating available, but they don't have a washroom. For washing hands, they've got a subpar system outside just for that. Overall, I'd say decent, okayish. Loved the kebabs, but they really need to upgrade their restaurant.

This star kabab is mainly for kabab items. A very crowded place. Sitting arrangment is small. Affordable price and quantity is ok. We tried their beef sheekh kabab and chicken boti kabab. They are good. Half dining arrangement is inside, half outside. They Didn't give me the chance for card payment.

Absolutely horrible service and behavior by staff. I would not recommend my worst enemy to go here. I went to eat with my friends and after ordering I saw 4-5 cockroaches roaming around near our table in the corner of the restaurant inside. We were shocked but still did not say anything. 10 minutes later we saw a rat that was running through a hole near the ceiling and had informed the staff about the situation and complained about their bad upkeep. After hearing our complaint, they did not even apologize, but the manager quietly said, “Bhalo na lagle choile jan” as if we wouldn't hear him. We confronted the manager but he completely denied his statement, and pretended that be was telling his staff to fix the issue instead. The behavior of the staff and hygiene of the restaurant is completely horrible and everyone should be aware before dining or ordering from here.

I often visit the Banani branch. I visited the Satmasjid branch 3 to 4 times. This Star Kabab outlet stands out with its separate sections for kabab, bakery, juice, and snacks. I ordered Mutton Tawa Curry with Paratha, and it tasted absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed a fresh Malta juice and their flavorful milk tea. Before leaving, I picked up some cookies from the bakery section, which were equally good.
