In 1997, Super Group’s vision was created with the establishment of the first ever private sector refinery in Bangladesh. The goal was to develop the group into a premier business conglomerate. Now, Super Group of Companies consists of 6 companies, with interests in petroleum, call centre, trawler fishing, plastics, share brokerage and housing development.

In 1997, the inception of Super Refinery marked a significant milestone in Bangladesh's industrial landscape. It signified the birth of the nation's inaugural privately-owned refinery. At the heart of our operations lies the ingenious utilization of gas condensates sourced from various domestic gas fields, which are transformed into invaluable industrial solvents like MTT and SBPS, alongside a range of petroleum by-products.
Over the past 18 years, Super Refinery Limited (SRL) has assumed a pivotal role in nurturing the growth of the paint industry. We have been instrumental in meeting the entirety of MTT demands for paint manufacturers, eliminating the need for costly imports and thereby preserving our nation's precious foreign reserves.
Moreover, the Government of Bangladesh has reaped substantial benefits from SRL's initiatives. The ubiquitous consumption of Motor Spirit and Diesel, two of the country's primary petroleum products, once heavily reliant on imports, has witnessed a remarkable reduction. This shift can be attributed to Super Refinery's steadfast commitment to supplying these essential fuels.
SRL has consistently and successfully operated its refinery for nearly two decades. During this span, the company has significantly enhanced its production capacity, progressing from 25,000 metric tons to an impressive 100,000 metric tons, achieved through the incorporation of three state-of-the-art columns.
Beyond SRL, the diversified business ventures of the Super Group of Companies have collectively contributed to our distinction as a prominent conglomerate in Bangladesh.
