Tarka has very nice embiennce and good staff. They have authentic North and south Indian food. Foods are testy and enough quantities but price in high side.

I’ve been to Tarka quite a few times — it’s my go-to spot whenever I crave authentic Mughal or North Indian food. Their butter chicken and tandoori are always on point — rich, smoky, and full of flavor. The biryani and pulao are incredible too, and they’ve got some really good vegetarian dishes as well. The place itself is beautiful — clean, elegant, and decorated in a Mughal-Arabic style that makes dining feel like an experience, not just a meal. Every visit has been consistent and satisfying. A perfect place for anyone who loves rich, authentic Mughal cuisine.

Over the course of its existence, Tarka has undergone a remarkable evolution. Initially conceived as a laid-back, neighborhood Indian eatery in Banani, where people could simply drop by to savor delectable Curry, Thaali, or Chaat dishes and hang out with friends, it has now metamorphosed into an exquisite fine dining destination.
Tarka's journey began with a vision of being a relaxed and genuinely Indian restaurant. The aspiration was never to be a formal and opulent fine dining establishment, but rather a place that exuded warmth, authenticity, and a sense of ease," shared Nazmus Shakib, the managing partner of Tarka.
However, as Tarka flourished, its identity gradually embraced the concept of a fine-dining experience, leading to a decision to relocate and undergo a stunning makeover to cater to a broader clientele, including families seeking a sophisticated culinary outing.
"We have embraced our transformation into a fine dining restaurant, and it has been heartening to witness an increasing number of families choosing to dine with us," added Nazmus Shakib.
Despite the evolving clientele and ambiance, Tarka remains unwavering in its commitment to serve authentic Indian cuisine, staying true to its roots. The culinary delights offered continue to showcase the rich and genuine flavors of India.
As Tarka continues to thrive and enchant diners with its refined atmosphere and mouthwatering Indian delicacies, it cherishes the memories of its humble beginnings while embracing the exciting prospects that the future holds.
