I think I had never faced such a situation in my entire life with any hotel booking! First of all the problem is with the ancient style geyser which is installed inside the toilet and my guest was very very uncomfortable with such old system - he didn’t want to turn on the switch out of his phobia and also the fact that it takes min 15-20min to get fully heated. So didn’t really like the system as he felt it was outdated as well as time consuming for his lifestyle. And the room change they offered was with the same system and hence problem still persists. So we checked out as the manager Mr Habib said he would request and give us the 4 nights refund which in turn - he needs to speak and get sorted with the “intermediary agent” !! And worst is that since 10am local time up until now 4.34pm - every other hour I’m dealing this issue as if it’s an extremely critical matter which it’s not!!! The hotel manager when we checked out clearly stated that this booking was not from “trip.com” whereas I booked from trip.com !! Secondly he said it’s through some local partners which I can clearly see now some rogue agent who have zero understanding of customer service and any connection with the customer directly but taking the money happily !! The hotel mgt showed zero interest in resolving the matter & putting things into intermediaries!!

Midori by Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka is a comfortable and well-managed hotel that offers a pleasant stay for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully designed, all with attached bathrooms and reliable hot water. Basic toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and even a razor are provided, which is very convenient. While there are no bathtubs, some rooms do come with a balcony, adding a nice touch. Each room has a small refrigerator stocked with snacks, a large king-size bed, bathrobes, and a 32-inch TV with local channels and Netflix connectivity. The ambience throughout the hotel is great, and the overall vibe feels calm and welcoming. The rooftop restaurant serves a good breakfast, along with quality food, fresh fruit juices, and decent coffee. There is also a meeting room attached to the restaurant, which is useful for small corporate gatherings. A gym is available, and the reception staff are polite and efficient. Some rooms are on the smaller side, but they are still functional and well maintained. The view from the rooms is pleasant, overlooking a park and a friendly neighborhood. Within a 5-minute walk, there is a mart and food court, which adds convenience. While facilities like a swimming pool or sauna would be great future additions, the housekeeping and staff hospitality truly stand out. Payments via cash and cards are accepted, and VAT bills are provided. Overall, Midori by Lakeshore Hotel offers great service, comfort, and value for money.

My guests stayed there and I hope they understand that once guests leave, they should check everything including their speaking with the next guest.
