Title: Disappointing Experience with IOL Surgery—Patients Should Be Cautious I underwent an IOL implantation in my left eye by Prof. Dr. Iqbal at Vision Eye Hospital. I selected a Zeiss European multi-focal lens, expecting high-quality results. Unfortunately, the procedure did not go as expected. After the surgery, I have been facing continuous vision issues and have had to return to the hospital multiple times. I even needed laser treatment after the IOL installation, yet my vision is still not functioning properly. My left eye has become visibly smaller, and I now must use spectacles regularly. The most disappointing part is that every visit requires new consulting fees and additional charges, including charges for laser treatment, even though the complications were not caused by me. Despite being a post-surgery complication, I had to pay every time, which is both frustrating and unfair. I also observed that the doctor appears to be aging, and his hands were shaking during examinations. In my opinion, there should be an age limit for surgeons or a mandatory yearly medical fitness assessment by an independent authority to ensure patient safety. Ethical practices must be stronger, and patients shouldn’t feel financially pressured when the issue originated from the surgeon's mistake. Overall, my experience has been very unsatisfactory, and I urge future patients to be extremely cautious, ask detailed questions, and ensure they fully understand the risks before proceeding.

If you are looking for the best treatment for your eyes, you may consider fish on Eye Hospital first. there are a few world class ophthalmologists working here. no to only they provide the best eye care it also offers the best price (way cheaper than the top most private eye hospitals in Dhaka). All the modern day investigations are available here. the people working in the hospital are very co-operative and helpful. in safety and hygiene this Hospital provides world-class healthcare. all the doctors working here I am very responsible and dedicated.

one of the Exclusive eye hospitals in Dhaka run by prof. Dr. Iqbal. Excellent and prominent eye specialist. Dr. behavior is excellent. The hospital is newly built and very clean & impressive. Enough space for patients waiting with good sitting arrangement. Basement car parking is available. Staffs are well behaved. The doctor’s fee is comparatively high but worth it.

This is a good and well-equipped hospital with modern facilities for specialized eye treatment. It also provides good quality surgeries of the eye by experienced eye specialists. The staff are also well-behaved and cordial. The only issue is its high cost.

We saw Dr. Mezbaul. He was humble and attentive, unlike most other doctors in Bangladesh. He did an eye operation on my aunt's eye successfully. We are happy with the nurses' behavior too. They were helpful. The hospital is clean. The only struggle is that we had to wait for an hour at least for our serial to come. The highest time we had to wait is more than 2.5 hours. Their appointment system is a mess. They ask to come to see the doctor at some particular time, and after arriving to the hospital in time, we found the doctor is in operation theater and he will come back to his chamber after 2 hours! Other than this pain of waiting, its a good eye hospital.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated with the unprofessional experience at Vision Eye Hospital. Be prepared to wait 2–3 hours even with a prior appointment. One doctor attends to hundreds of patients, resulting in long delays—and the usual excuse is “traffic jam.” If you value your time, think twice before visiting.
