ICB Asset Management Company Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB). Its establishment took place as part of ICB's restructuring program under the Capital Market Development Programme (CMDP) initiated by the Government of Bangladesh and the Asian Development Bank. On 5th December 2000, the company was officially incorporated as a public limited company, authorized with a capital of Tk. 1.00 billion and a paid-up capital of Tk. 393.80 million, following the guidelines outlined in the Companies Act of 1994. This incorporation was completed through the registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms. Subsequently, on 14th October 2001, the Securities and Exchange Commission granted the company a license under the Securities and Exchange Commission (Mutual Fund) Rules of 2001, allowing it to engage in mutual fund activities.
