About PHP Steels Ltd.

PHP, a prominent player in the steel industry, has established itself as the leading manufacturer of Cold Rolled Coils (CR Coils) and Galvanized Steel Coils/Sheets/Corrugated Sheets in Bangladesh. Its journey began in October 1999 when PHP Cold Rolling Mills Ltd. was founded, specializing in flat steel products. The company boasted a production capacity of 120,000 tons per annum, with a minimum thickness of 0.098 mm.

Steel is the cornerstone of PHP's success and has solidified its position as a premier industrial conglomerate in Bangladesh. Nestled in the bustling port city of Chittagong, the PHP Steel Complex comprises four distinct industries: PHP Cold Rolling Mills Ltd., PHP Continuous Galvanizing Mills Ltd., PHP NOF Continuous Galvanizing Mills Ltd., and the captive power plant, PHP Power Generation Plant Ltd. The power plant operates two gas turbines, each generating 7.5 MW, resulting in a total capacity of 15 MW. This robust power unit ensures uninterrupted operations for the Steel Complex, which includes two Cold Rolling Mills, three Galvanizing Lines, Bell Annealing Furnaces, and various auxiliary plants.

To streamline administrative processes, minimize costs, and maximize efficiency, the management made the strategic decision to merge three companies with PHP NOF Continuous Galvanizing Mills Ltd. This amalgamation was approved by the High Court Division of the Honorable Supreme Court of Bangladesh and took effect on 1st December 2019.

Currently, PHP boasts a total production capacity of 0.25 million tons per annum.
