On a hot summer day I went there for lunch . Loved their terrace garden but due to excessive heat had to sit inside. The food was perfect. As I was hungry it tasted more delicious . The interior and the rooftop terrace were nicely decorated. The staff were well dressed and mannered . The only minus may be the price tag comes with the menu. It may be a little higher than the same styled restaurant placed nearby

During my recent visit to The Forest Lounge with a group of friends and my big brother, totaling eleven people, I had mixed feelings about the overall experience. While there were aspects that impressed us, several elements left much to be desired, making it a rather average dining experience. To start on a positive note, the reception at The Forest Lounge was commendable. We were greeted warmly by the staff, who were courteous and attentive throughout our visit. This initial positive impression was bolstered by the restaurant’s decor. The ambiance was aesthetically pleasing, with a modern yet cozy atmosphere that seemed ideal for both small gatherings and larger groups like ours. However, the primary purpose of visiting a buffet is, of course, the food, and this is where The Forest Lounge fell short. While there was a decent variety of dishes available, the taste of the food did not live up to expectations. Several dishes were underwhelming in flavor, lacking the richness and depth one hopes for in a buffet setting. Furthermore, there were noticeable gaps in the buffet spread, with some items missing altogether. This was particularly disappointing, as it reduced the variety and choice that is often a key attraction of buffet dining. Another significant downside was the cost. The base price of the buffet was 1250 taka per person, which is on the higher side for similar establishments in the area. After adding the service charge and VAT, the total came to 1300 taka per person. Given the average quality of the food, this price felt steep and not quite justified by the overall experience. For the cost, we expected a higher standard of cuisine and a more complete buffet spread. Overall, while The Forest Lounge does have its merits in terms of reception and ambiance, the primary aspects of food quality and value for money were lacking. Considering the high price point and the mediocre dining experience, I would rate The Forest Lounge a 6 out of 10. For anyone planning a visit, it might be worth considering if the ambiance is a priority, but for those seeking a memorable culinary experience, there might be better options available

Dont try their candle night dinner option. The service was very poor. The envioment was very dark and cant even see the colour of the food. There was no music and songs. They charge extra atleast 2.5k for decoration but only fake flowers. Congested area. A stand fan was their. Making so noise because of leaf. On the floor it was very nasty(packets of cigarettes, polythenes and papers). No fregrents. They said none will come here. But in every 5 minutes someone was coming for photoshoot of themselves. (Not matter about privacy but uncomfortable situation). The stuff was very unprofessional, maybe named murad repeatedly saying my duty is over i just am here only for you guys(maybe asking for tips) whers till 11pm there were people eating. When i asked for more lighting he said. I have no problem if you dont have. Maybe he doesn’t know what to say on where. They were serving food very slowly where reservation was given earlier. Only good thing was the food(seafood platter). The soup was extra ordinary. I love it. But i prefer fried rice over bashmoti rice.

Since its opening years, this rooftop restaurant has always been one of my most favorite ones for its amazing ambience, quality food, and good service. Both its interior and exterior are equally pleasant. I love their buffet as well as la carte items.

The decoration is pretty good but the food is average. If you only care about the picture and don’t care about the food, it’s the perfect place for you. Considering the food, the price is more or less reasonable but the taste is nothing mention worthy. We ordered fish and chips, creamy mushroom soup and thick thai soup. The fish and chips wasn’t good at all. It was too much dry and tasted bland. Also the garlic sauce served with it was dry too. We couldn’t even finish it. This costed 550/- considering all the charges. Mushroom soup was good though and tasted nice. Maybe we can try this item again. This one costed 385/- considering all the charges. Thai soup was average, not too much good, not too much bad either considering the taste. But considering the price, I will give it 1 star, as many Chinese restaurant serves soup that can be shared between 4/5 people which costs around 500tk and even the taste is better than this one, but here only one bowl of soup costed 300tk+ VAT+ Service Charge which turned it into 330tk and that is a lot actually. So definitely not worth the price.
